Cooking Lesson No 1

Having eaten those delicious tonkatsu ... i decided to make some of my own for Lauren's 21st .. yeah i am going to New Jersey tml with Rods and Yuya .... so making my own special tonkatsu ... "how hard can it be?" <--- Jeremy Clarkson
Master chef sio wakes up at 3am in the morning ... preparing the ingredients XD .. stole the recipe from some jedi website (i am serious) ... and this one also ... http://www.recipezaar.com/Tonkatsu-Japanese-Pork-Cutlet-131093 (pic was quek on msn)
I will update the text ... hopefully .. coz i have a bus to catch and friends to meet soon ... bought some pork and removed all the fats .... everybody hate fats .... yea seasoning ... cannot find pepper ... so i used paprika instead should be good ... at least its not poisonous for what i know
Frying in hot oil .... still need some skill in temperature control ... some of the pork fritters came out okay ... but others too white ... i dunno why .... i wish some one would come out with an idea of frying with air instead of oil ... so messy ...

http://www.thegreenhead.com/2007/10/char-broil-big-easy-oilless-infrared-turkey-fryer.php <--- oilless fryer ... CHECK OUT THE BOOZE BELT ... MAKES U LOOK LIKE A RIDICULOUS DRUNK TERRORIST !! WARM BEER ANYONE???
Oh well i guess it turns out fine !! never got to blow things up ... just like electronics lab ... tastes awesome ... just that its abit the oily .... HOW man ... HOW??? And another problem that i overlooked is the fritters that sink to the bottom, i removed the "floaters" but never thought of the "sinkers". Black stuff gets on to the cutlet -.-... tried my best...

After the cooking session i was shocked that i have to "dredge" the muck from the bottom of the oil ... Promise from the Great Chef Sio .. i will update more after i come back from New Jersey...

Difficulty rating : ***
Not so difficult after you get the hang of things ... just that the cleaning up is a pain in the ass.. needs some more practice to get the hang of things and ... to cook the soul out of the food ... *****

Sn-owned

Yea ! Boston was owned in 3 days of snow ! Doesn't mean that i am going to be in sloth mode! Well... i went wachusett mountain instead for more snow... Took me like a day of recovery mode before i decided to use the best text editor i have.... yes my MS office is down; BLOGGER!Pic from Friday morning around 7 am ... the cars are all sn-owned a feet of snow and probably and hopefully get stuck when the snow cakes up and i will enjoy and smile the driver's misery trying to thaw their car ... or even open the door of their car.. so pwned.Walking towards our train station was hard enough... the whole city was snow... its really hard to discribe ...Well we decided to go snowboarding! my 2nd time doing it .. probably not going to break some bones because of my slow speed.
Photowhoring in the Commuter rail system. Took us like an hour and a half to get there
Photowhoring and making silly faces in the shuttle bus from train terminal to mountain.
Wasnt that crowded when we reached the mountain.. and best thing of all, we got the tix for free, printed from the internet when we signed up for something, but however me and yuya need to rent my snowboard and his skis from the shop -.- luckily we are early, and its the first big snow of the season, therefore the snowboots are kinda 'virgin' = no smell xD.Oh yea this pic was taken during our second time going up the mountain on the ski lift.. notice the neck warmer i bought? The temperature was crazyily low that day my face almost died when i decended the mountain the first time. The neckwarmer definately protected my face from the windchill, but it caused another problem, now my breath was directed onto my glasses and it condenses and freeze... dammit i could not see a single thing when i decended the mountain the second time.. and the ski shop does not have any 'over the glasses' goggles , if not i would have gotten one. FOR LIVE FOOTAGE GO FACEBOOK...GOT VIDS!!!!! of me doing stunts! (falls)Just Chillin on a "summer" chair with snow.Tristan scraping ice out of my board on my 2nd or 3rd run... i could not really remember... it had so much friction that i could not even go down a slope, it was his first time seeing this kind of situation.... wonder where the ice came from?Well i pass myself off as a novice on the 2nd time ;p
